The Policy Dialogue: Lessons in Climate Change Mitigation for India

We are organizing an online policy awareness and deliberation session on the subject of Lessons in Climate Change Mitigation for India.

Date: 5th December, 2020

Timings: 7:00 p.m. to 7:40 p.m. (IST)

Event Portal: Zoom

Climate change mitigation policies have been at the center of the government agenda across the world ever since the Paris Agreement of 2015. This is, however, affected by the development priorities of countries, which are substantially different for the global North and the global South. These factors adversely affect the impact of our preparedness for climate change, especially in overpopulated and under-resourced countries like India. Not surprisingly then, it is the prosperous countries of the global North that have been the flag bearers of climate change mitigation policies. The question is, can India look towards them to understand the potential of climate change mitigation policies? Can India afford to emulate the ideal climate change mitigation policies?

Join us for an online discussion with experts as we explore the lessons for India in climate change mitigation policies while assessing some major policies from across the world.
